383 Hill Annex Reservation

The 383 Hill Annex holds up to 40 people and is set up with stationary tables in a classroom-style format. Restrooms are located upstairs (there is no elevator). The room is equipped with a projection screen with projection/audio capabilities. Any additional audiovisual equipment is the responsibility of the user. Users are responsible for coordinating coffee and catering services.

Reservations are made on a first come, first serve basis according to the guidelines below.

Use Guidelines

Priority and Secondary Priority users may submit applications no more than six months in advance.

Non-Priority Users can submit applications no more than thirty days in advance.

Priority Users

We grant priority use to various groups as follows:

  • Center for Technology and Management Education
  • Board of Trustees
  • Meetings in which the President is involved
  • Office of Strategic Communications
  • Jet Propulsion Laboratory
  • Facilities/Emergency Operations Center

Secondary Priority Users

Events of educational and business purpose, such as meetings, workshops, conferences, classes.

Secondary Priority Users may be bumped from the room by Priority Users.

Non-Priority Users

When the facility is not being used by a Priority User, reservations can be made for Non-Priority Users:

Social events such as club meetings, luncheons, or social gatherings for Caltech-affiliated organizations.

Non-Priority Users may be bumped from the room by Secondary or Priority Users.


A reservation is not considered confirmed until you receive an email from Faculty Housing.

To reserve the Annex, please review the following information and submit the application at the bottom of this page. Our office will contact you within 3 business days.


Reservation cancellations are required via email no later than seven days prior to the date and time of the reservation. Failure to cancel reservation will result in custodial charges posting to your provided PTA or Project/Task.


Parking is available in the Holliston Avenue Parking structure at 370 S. Holliston Ave. A footpath leads from the parking structure to the 383 Hill Annex, making it easily accessible. JPL parking placards are honored; guests without placards will be required to pay at the automated pay station located on the 3rd floor of the parking structure.


There is no reservation charge. The charges for use of the Annex will be for custodial time required for clean up after the scheduled meeting. The PTA or Project/Task provided on the reservation form will be charged the standard hourly custodial rates. This is a required service for all users after each use.

  • Remove all food and and dispose of your trash
  • Clean up spills
  • Remove all meeting materials
  • Turn off all equipment, including the projector
  • Turn off lights and lock the door
  • Storage is not available, any leftover items will be disposed of
